Beginner Tips
- You know what really helps? This UI recap.
- Having trouble with the 30 minutes era? Try to focus on just one Village. Leave other Villages to their own fate, or destroy them.
- A Village always tries to settle in such a manner that the Source you placed (Plants, Animals or Minerals) is providing Resources within their Borders.
- Once a Project starts, be sure to read the Specialization displayed in the Project Panel. The Specialization allows the Village to gain bonuses from either certain Natural Sources. They will assist you in completing the Project.
- Use Aspect abilities to boost or transmute specific Natural Sources. Transmuting a Source doesn't always provide more Resources.
- Don't forget that every Natural Source can have one or more Aspects! +2 from a Lesser Growth Aspect might not look like much, but if you're really close to completing a project, multiple Aspects might just give you the edge you needed.
- Use the fertility boosts. They as good as double the chances of getting better aspects.
- Animals just outside of the borders still yield significant prosperity for a village. Other resources can also help you by activating symbioses of resources within village borders.
- You can always replace a source with another one!
- Some Symbioses require prerequisites before they are met; read the tooltips to find out what they need.
- Village Projects give significant boosts to the village. Use them effectively!
- Work towards achievements; they unlock new plants/animals/projects, which in turn lead to better resources!
- Press the control key (Ctrl) to toggle between seeing different stats about a Village or patch, such as its Awe and Natura instead of the default Food , Wealth and Technology . If you suddenly can't see the Food of a patch any more, you probably pressed this key by accident.
