Reus has several Resources. Most of which are important in developing your villages to a high prosperity.

Contents

Food

Both Plants and Animals can provide Food.

Food Food in Use refers to the Food being currently used by the Villages. Increasing the Food in Use of a Village will increase the Prosperity.

Wealth

Both Minerals and Animals can provide Wealth.

Wealth Wealth in Use refers to the Wealth being currently used by the Villages. Increasing the Wealth in Use of a Village will increase the Prosperity.

Technology

Both Minerals and Plants can provide Technology.

Technology Technology in Use refers to the Technology being currently used by the Villages. Increasing the Technology in Use of a Village will increase the Prosperity.

Prosperity

Prosperity is the sum of all the Food in Use, Wealth in Use and Technology in Use. Prosperity is displayed in the Upper Right Corner of the Screen.

Greed

A high level of Greed is a possible trigger for wars between villages or attacks against giants.

Awe

Awe Awe is portrayed in the Village Panel. Some Natural Sources or their symbioses provide Awe. When Awe is high, Villages will be less likely to increase their Greed.

With 15 Awe, villagers increase their Greed if the difference between Resource in Use and Resource available is higher than 35.

Danger

Danger Danger is portrayed at the bottom of the Village Panel. Some Animals provide Danger, increasing the Danger to a certain level displayed in the Panel will completely stop the Greed from growing.

Patches with high enough Danger can damage or kill armies as well as angry mobs sent by cities.

The village's Danger has an effect on its villagers:

  • Low Danger - No effect on the villagers.
  • Medium Danger - Villagers stop getting greedy. Danger also seems to freeze greed decrease.
  • High Danger - Villagers destroy the Danger patch to go back to Medium Danger.

Danger.png

The Danger required for this effect will increase as the Village increases its resources.

Here is an example with Wolves and Wisents in the Forest:

Patch ID 1 2 3 4 5 6
Patch Nothing Nothing Wisent Wolf Nothing Nothing
Danger 2 Danger 4 Danger 4 Danger 4 Danger 4 Danger 2 Danger

Wisent yields 2 Danger.

Wolf yields 1 Danger + 1 Danger for each Wisent within Animal range.

Wisent covers patches from 1 to 5 in its Animal range Range and yields 2 Danger.

Wolf covers patches from 2 to 6 in its Animal range Range and yields 2 Danger.

The village's Danger is equal to the sum of all Danger patches within its borders, 20 Danger in that case.

Attention: Danger created by aspects used to obtain dangerous animals has to be taken into account.

Natura

Natura Natura is generated by Plants within a certain Range Range. Natura is a requirement stat for some Symbioses, but it can also increase the power of many Aspects used to upgrade Natural Source.

Most Plants have a Natura range of 2 Range.

Natura value is equal to the highest value provided by any Plant in its Natura range.

Here is an example with Onyx and Withered Shrub in the Desert:

Patch ID 1 2 3 4 5 6
Patch Nothing Onyx Withered Shrub Withered Shrub Nothing Onyx
Resource 6 Natura 6 Natura 23 Wealth 6 Natura 6 Natura 6 Natura 1 Natura 15 Wealth

Withered Shrub yields 1 Natura + 5 Natura if next to a Mineral.

Onyx yields 14 Wealth + 1,5 Wealth for each 1 Natura on the patch.

Withered Shrub (3) covers patches from 1 to 5 in its Natura range and yields 6 Natura.

Withered Shrub (4) covers patches from 2 to 6 in its Natura range and yields 1 Natura.

Animal Range

Animal range Range isn't actually a Resource, but refers to the Range an Animal has. Most Animals have 2 Range, but some start of with one 1 Range or can gain +1 Range from Symbioses.
